  Really pleasant and beautifully renovated Dutch era old central post office, with a gorgeous atrium and, following the conversion into a lifestyle hangout, a good selection of cafes and restaurants. Located opposite Merdeka Sq, not far from DeliPark mall, this space provides a quiet oasis in a lovely colonial era interior. Clearly lovingly and sympathetically restored, the beautiful details (like the stained glass and tile decorations) and well maintained spaces create a really attractive place to hangout. There's a nice free interesting postal museum too, enlightening you on the history of the post office in Indonesia. I was able to enjoy some tasty and inexpensive iced coffees in the open courtyard, where it wasn't busy so provided a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. There's clean toilets and the natural large interiors creates a cool feel. A true gem.

  Once the proud postal heart of Medan, now rebranded as a hipster playground where history meets overpriced lattes. The grand colonial bones still whisper of telegrams and lost love letters, while inside, local youths Instagram their avocado toast under fluorescent art installations. The vibe? A museum curated by a graphic designer who once read a history book. Bonus points for the antique mailbox that hasn’t been emptied since 1983. Best enjoyed with a side of existential dread and a flat white.

  PosBloc is honestly one of a kind in Medan. It’s a great all-in-one spot, you’ve got the cafes, a photobox, and they even integrated a prayer room up on the second floor, which is super convenient. The only real catch? It definitely needs more tenants to fully bring the space to life and maximize its potential.

  Old post office turn to cafe, food stall. However i love how the post office vibe still there. You still feel the nostalgic of the building. Cool place to gather and have some coffee.
