    This is such a lovely gym! Tucked away, it was a gem to find, only 10 minute walk from Lushy Hostel, with an entrance fee of 20,000 Rupiah (£0.85). The owner was such a kinda man and there is a lovely family vibe here. There are such a wide variety of machines, equipment and the space is clean and in great condition. Although there was no air-con, the open doors let in a breeze so it felt ventilated. It got busy at 18:00 so I would recommend going earlier or later.

    At first, the gym seemed to have a decent vibe for this island—mind you, it’s basic and small, no A/C or view, limited & dingy equipment, and low-quality speakers blasting discordant music—none of which mattered once the endorphins were flowing. Unfortunately, over my two days there, the environment felt arbitrary and controlling. When I met the owner, despite my friendly approach and compliments about his home and family, I wasn’t offered any introduction or welcome. His first question was about my work; when I returned the question, he said he didn’t work, just enjoyed life… yet he is paid to operate the gym and is there most of the time 🤔 I continued to notice inconsistencies in the owner’s behavior and how rules were applied. Shoes were not to be worn inside (unsafe, unhygienic, and a liability for all guests), yet a calm dog sleeping in a corner was treated as a problem—while other guests were happily petting it.     Small gym, but you can do a good workout here, just need to be a little creative. Friendly owner. Be aware it is super hot inside, no AC. September 2025, I paid 20k for one day.

    Family run gym. Lovely people. I forgot my headphones one day and they even kept me safe for me. The gym is everything you need for weight machines. Only 20k per person. They have speakers you can connect your phone. Never too busy. Only missing ac but I don’t mind as it makes a tougher workout.
