Byson Gym is a simple, no-frills spot tucked away in a small village outside Ubud. The equipment is definitely on the older side—some of the machines and dumbbells look like they’ve been around for decades—but they still get the job done if you’re not too picky. The biggest draw is the price: a day pass is just 50,000 IDR (around £2.50), making it one of the cheapest gyms in the area. It’s also not very busy, so you won’t be fighting for space or waiting around for equipment. That said, the gym could benefit from better cleaning and maintenance. If you go, it’s best to keep an open mind and embrace the rustic vibe. Overall, Byson Gym is a budget-friendly option for anyone in Ubud who just needs a place to lift without breaking the bank.

You can get a decent workout there. They have the equipment for that. The equipment is old, no internet, loud music, machines broken, no abbreviation workout station. The people working out there are friendly and so is the staff. All great people. The bathrooms are in bad shape too. But for the price and for what it is, it was worth the 18 minute walk to get there.

Came here on May 12, 2024. 50K is the price for 1 day pass for foreigners/tourists. Super old school, some questionable gym equipment but otherwise everything is mostly functioning and works fine. It has enough to get in a decent workout. Definitely not a clean gym - wear shoes for sure. Some rusted equipment and hands do get a bit dirty because of that. You’ll see locals here getting their workout on for sure!
