Bethesda Hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in Yogyakarta. Although the building is quite old, it is very well-maintained, especially in terms of cleanliness. All the staff are very friendly and have a good service mind. They provide heartfelt service. The visiting hours at this hospital are quite strict. Visitors can only visit patients at specified times. When visiting hours are over, security guards will remind visitors to leave the room so that patients can rest comfortably. Inside the inpatient area, there is a minimarket that seems to be open 24 hours a day because when I passed by it in the early morning, they were still operating. This is great to support the comfort of patients and their families. There are 2 parking areas, the first one is outdoors and the second one is in the basement with one exit. Then there is a canteen with quite complete food stalls. Overall, this hospital is quite comfortable for patients or visitors.

This hospital is generally reliable, but it requires significant improvements in its infrastructure—particularly in the Emergency Department, where the ceiling is damaged and the air conditioning leaks. The overall atmosphere feels outdated, reminiscent of the early 2000s, with old, faded posters still displayed. It would also benefit from more young doctors and nurses to support staff regeneration and renewal.

Me and my girlfriend had to consult the doctor multiple times during our little vacation in this city. Their service was top notch. We did not have to wait for too long and the prices were very reasonable.
