  The Natsepa Resort in Ambon is a very nice resort to spend a few nights. It is about 40 minutes from the airport in a quiet area on the southeast side of the island. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was quite large with a nice double balcony facing the pool and ocean. The resort grounds are very scenic and quite pleasant to relax in and enjoy the surroundings. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The view during breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was spectacular. The dinner was very well prepared. The seasoning and spices from the spice island made a big difference in the quality of the food.

  Natsepa is without a doubt the best hotel on Ambon. Away from the busy center, it’s a place where you can really unwind. Great views over the water and on the green hills beyond. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to Endang and the ladies serving in the restaurant. Yes, the resort could use some fresh paint here and there, but that didn’t bother us too much. The vibes at Natsepa are simply very good. We also enjoyed the pool and the great breakfast. If you’re looking for a place on Ambon to really relax, this is the place.

  The Natsepa Resort and Conference Centre charges a whopping $60CDN per night, but that does include a wonderful buffet breakfast. As it happened, we’d been in Indonesia all the way through Ramadan. During the day Natsepa Resort is kinda quiet, but at dinner-time each evening that all changes. Locals come in droves. Some nights they’re all dressed in black, other nights they come wearing white. The conference dining area will accommodate 150 or more, and it’s chock-a-block full every night. It’s always fun watching them watch us with their glowing smiles. Oh, the dinner menu is excellent, and so is the massive swimming pool.
