  Just spent an amazing 8 days at The 48 Resort Candidasa. Staff where attentive and went above and beyond. Rooms are older style but no complaints. Pool was wonderful, love sitting in the pool having drinks in the afternoons. This resort even though small has a very big grounds, never felt closed in. Stayed in the Superior room, big rooms, amazing bed, lovely sitting area outside. It also has a family room and a private villa with own pool.The restaurant has amazing food. The breakfast was huge we only ate breaky and then dinner. There is a lot of small Warungs around in walking distance. Massage close by. Candidasa is place to get away from all the crowds and have a total reset. Hubby and I have booked for 3 weeks next year at The 48.

  The AC didn’t make the room cold, when I spoke with the staff they explained that the type of room I had has a less powerful AC, but this information I couldn’t see that anywhere. There was no solution to this problem. I wasn’t offered to pay more to upgrade to a colder room when they are all empty. My daughter who’s local was sweating in her sleep. The bed sheets are old/stained. The walls also have random stains. The pool is dirty, there a ring around the tiles at the top of the pool that come off of scrubbed. Also, there was a lot of random dirt inside the pool which didn’t seem to be cleaned daily. Not all the lights work inside the room, it’s very dark. The trees and cottages look amazing, very picturesque, good location.

  Just spent 8 days here and had an amazing time.The breakfasts were fantastic and restaurant food was so good. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. They are older style but they were perfect for us Thankyou

  We booked 3 rooms; one villa and two resort rooms. The villa backs on to the lake and the space, room layout and view are really lovely. The outdoor bathroom was particularly nice. However, there was a lot of damp in the villa and after a few days in this room, our clothes smelt mouldy. We also had more road noise in the villa as the sound travelled across the lake. I highly recommend the resort and the staff were lovely, but if you get the villa keep the air-conditioning on to reduce the moisture. Positioned well in Candidasa with access to both the main road and a small section of beach.
