To describe Swiss-Belhotel Kendari as a 4-star hotel is, frankly, a profound misrepresentation. The room was visibly old and neglected, with furnishings marred by stains, cigarette burns on the seating despite the room being designated non-smoking, and an overall condition that reflected years of poor maintenance. The television displayed a persistent white line across the bottom of the screen, the wallpaper was peeling away from the walls, and the entire environment conveyed decay rather than comfort. Most alarming, however, was the bathroom, which was overwhelmed by humidity, a disgusting toilet seat, unclean surfaces, and an unmistakable sense of bacterial neglect (see photos). Non bad, but quite low quality room and general structure for s 4* - not really worth the money but was comfortable and quite clean. My colleague found sheets with yellow marks on the bed, so that wasn't great.

Upon arrival I was greeted by Mita at the front desk who made my check-in a smooth experience with a friendly welcome, polite and professional approach. She is an asset to this hotel. The front door security are well mannered and overly helpful too. Woke up to a delicious breakfast.
