  The Plataran is a beautiful facility in a beautiful location. It’s private and the sea and sunset views are special. Service is very warm and helpful. The villas/rooms are huge and very comfortable. The bed is low to the floor so a bit of a challenge in the dark. We highly recommend the spa. Great treatments and service. The food was good but we wished the restaurant menu was broader. We wanted to try more Indonesian cooking beyond the more common dishes. The beach isn’t as swimmable as we expected. This is a great hotel in many ways yet we were expecting more for the price.

  Komodo, and after staying here again, it continues to be one of our favorite hotels anywhere. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels special. The welcome is always warm and thoughtful. We’ve been greeted with welcome drinks, cookies, little surprises, and even a welcome massage. It’s clear that guest experience is a priority, and it immediately sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The property itself is beautiful. The beachfront villas are spacious, comfortable, and still feel luxurious despite being around 10 years old. The bathrooms and closet areas are huge, and the resort does an excellent job maintaining the rooms and keeping everything looking fresh. One of our favorite parts of every stay is the food. The salted tofu egg remains just as incredible as we remembered. We also loved the daily high tea. Each day felt a little different, with unique locations around the property, including Atlantis Bar and even the liveaboard. It became something we looked forward to every

  Beautiful, quiet resort in a stunning location with great snorkeling right off their private pier. Villas are large and designed with local tones, comfortable and clean. Staff is young, enthusiastic and lovely. Overall a fantastic place to stay and well worth returning to.

  We had a great stay recently at Plataran. I stayed in the hanging pool villa which was an amazing room with fantastic views. The property is in a great location directly on the beach. The service was great, however it could bit a bit overwhelming as we would have preferred some more privacy. In addition the food, especially the international cuisine, was sub-par. The facilities at the resort are nice but a bit dated (think Club Med if you’re American)
