Short Review: One of the best massages I’ve had anywhere this century—Bali or Australia. Rosy, a young Japanese therapist living in Bali, was incredibly skilful and attentive. I will definitely return to Anggun Spa on Jalan Camplung Tanduk. Long Review: I’ve been traveling to Bali for 36 years, but only started getting regular massages from 2019 onwards. After 27 years as a massage therapist in Australia, I’m very particular about technique—and I can honestly say I was impressed. I first noticed Rosy as I walked past on my way to the gym. Although I had probably been invited for a massage 20 times on that walk, something made me stop and chat with Rosy. Subsequently I promised him I would return the next day—and I’m glad I did. When the session began, I was struck by Rosy’s strength and control. His hands were firm, and he used his body weight both effectively and efficiently. He worked systematically, applying just the right amount of oil. Occasionally, the pressure was intense—b

I was really disappointed with my pedicure experience. The technician assigned to me seemed quite new and was struggling, which I do understand, but the main issue was that the nail polishes appeared to be very old and were not applying properly. I tried three different colours, but each one seemed worse than the last, so I eventually left with only clear polish on my toes as I was feeling frustrated. Unfortunately, the manager on site did not apologise or offer much support, and instead kept asking why I had not tried another colour, despite me explaining that I already had. The location is great, but the overall experience was disappointing and really affected my visit.

Unprofessional. We asked for a hard massage, but they pressed on the bones, which was painful and made no sense. A hard massage should work deeply on the muscles, not hit the bones and leave bruises. Of course it’s cheap, which explains the quality. A good massage here is above $20-30. Don’t waste your time and money on places like this, better pay more and go somewhere with trained specialists. Update (reply to the owner’s response): I appreciate you offering the refund. Thank you! But the only thing I would need is an apology from that woman. If you saw the video, I think you noticed that I didn’t shout, insult or did anything that would disrespect/harm your receptionist. I was very polite trying to explain what was wrong and admitted multiple times that another guy was good. But she was very aggressive and insulting me, even swearing at me. There are no excuses for that behavior. Sincere apology from her can make me delete this comment.

Was not happy with my pedicure at all, the technician assigned to me was clearly very new (bless her!) was struggling to find a nail polish that would apply properly because all the colours were so old. I ended up leaving with just clear polish on my toes as feeling frustrated and nothing was working out. The manager on ground did not apologise and just kept saying why did you not try another colour (even though I said to her I did try 3 different colours and each seemed to be worse than the other). Great location but experience was ruined.
