  We stayed for a few nights with family after our wedding in Manggis and it was perfect. Great food, gym is small but well-equipped, fantastic service (a little slow on the first day, but it got better as time went on. Perhaps staff aren’t used to larger groups but they did well to adapt!). highly recommend the spa - possibly the best massages we’ve ever had. The only downside is that I wish the pool areas were a little more private - we stayed in the new part of the hotel and I’m sure the vegetation and trees will grow to provide a little more screening from walkways and neighbours. I was surprised to see the hotel listed as 4 stars as it feels more like a 5 star experience. Recommend hiring a scooter to explore the town, sights and local restaurants nearby! We wish we had stayed for an extra night or two.

  Best stay in Bali, from someone who visited Bali countless times. Forget Seminyak, Ubud, Nusa Dua etc. Sidemen is the place to go for a real holiday. Fresh air, picture perfect scenery and awesome food, can’t beat that right? Not forgetting spa with a bathhouse, gym which still has the new gym smell and English-speaking staffs everywhere made Samanvaya a place which we will visit again.

  Samanvaya is outrageously stunning. The rooms were next level STUNNING! We stayed in 2 different rooms and honestly it was incredible how beautiful and well thought out each of the interior designs and architecture is. The restaurants were amazing, the food was so fresh and the different cuisines were absolutely delicious! The staff - everyone was so attentive and friendly. I cannot rave enough about every single staff member who looked after us, greeted us, and overall just made our stay so amazing. We did the Climb and Revive package where you do a sunrise hike up Mount Batur and it was INCREDIBLE! The views were stunning, then you get to relax and unwind the rest of the day with massages and access to the spa area. 😍 We will 10/10 be back and if you're thinking about heading out to Sidemen (which I cannot regommend enough) you should make sure you spend a couple of nights at least here.

  My husband and I stayed at Samanvaya for the first part our honeymoon in Bali. It was about a 2 hour journey from the airport, which we hired a private driver to drive us. The journey was well worth it! The location is idyllic and serene, situated atop terraced rice paddies and the most beautiful views. The resort is sprawling and immaculate. Our villa was gorgeous and comfortable, I felt like we were living in a treehouse and I didn’t want to leave! Sustainability is a top priority for the resort and how they operate and it’s clear they take their impact seriously and it’s one of the reasons I selected this resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and so helpful. The food was delicious, the complimentary breakfast was generous and as vegetarians we had plenty of tasty options. We enjoyed the warungs up and down the street, which had tasty and affordable options as well for variety. On our last day we used the on site spa services and the massage was so incredibly relaxing.
