we stayed for half a day at the Swiss-Belhotel before taking the ferry to Waisai and it proved adequate. Price was reasonable and the FO staff were fast and efficient. Sadly, the property is in desperate need of a remodeling/refurbishment as our room was falling apart. Our 'balcony' door did not fully close, the bathroom sink leaked, and there were stains on the walls and floors everywhere, plus mold in the bathroom. Room service was ok and fast though and all around for a quick shower and nap, it did the trick but I would not recommend staying here for more than a day.

I stayed here 2 nights with my husband on the front-side of a dive trip. The hotel is actually very nice and we enjoyed the restaurant for several meals including daily breakfast buffet. The staff is very hospitable and welcoming. The prices were a little bit higher , but we found after staying somewhere else later in the trip, that this was a much better value and much nicer property. It's a good location and we could walk to markets and local restaurants as well as easily get rides with the Grab app. The pool is small but clean and relaxing, with lounge chairs and outdoor dining area. The rooms are decent size, clean and good AC. They provided us bottled water and there was a kettle in the room. The bed was comfortable.

Good place for a night before your flight! City is very dirty but the hotel is clean! Please give the bar and restaurant team more staff as you make them run from the bar for drinks to the restaurant and that delays the process! Stop using plastic straws please, Sorong is already so dirty you don’t need to add on top.

Totally let down by the appalling lack of decent coffee... Aside from that a good hotel in a very convenient location. Room designs very dated, looks like the same room interior designer as the Vega... you know that 1980s sheets wrapped around a blanket, slightly too hard bed with no topper, AC that struggles but does ok... Basically all ok, or even good for Papua, but pretty dated No coffee is the killer for me
