  Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 10 days. We liked staying at a homestay, with a local family. The hospitality was great, we also booked surf lessons with them and we really enjoyed them - Aan, the instructor, knew how to give us everyday a new challenge (bigger than we thought we can manage), but we always felt safe with him. They also arranged a two day trip to a national park for us, to a turtle sanctuary. Rooms are basic, but clean and with AC. Would recommend to anyone who is seeking a warm stay with a local family and for those who want to learn or improve their surfing, especially for beginner to intermediate (where else can you find excellent waves and at the same time be one of the few surfers in the water?!)   Big daddy’s surf camp was the highlight of our trip through Indonesia. The location was absolutely perfect, and the family were so welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay! We felt so safe and at home here, didn’t want to leave.The rooms were great and the aircon was so nice. The board rentals are also super reasonable! Also bonus for coco the puppy, highlight of my mornings. Would 100% recommend staying here, you won’t regret it. Thank you King Kong and family, we will come again soon!

  I came here for a beginner’s surf lesson, and it was honestly great. The guide, “Small King Kong,” was brilliant—super chilled and with a relaxed vibe that made the whole experience even better. I didn’t expect much going in, but it really exceeded my expectations. The room itself isn’t fancy, but it’s what you’d expect from a surf spot—it does the job and is good value for money. They do provide basics, but you might want to bring your own things like handwash or shower gel if you prefer to have your own.

  Big Daddy Surf Camp is a really special place for me. I surfed on a hardtop for the first time there, and I caught my first overhead wave thanks to the amazing instructors. You can trust them completely, relax, and they will take great care of you. The accommodation is also really nice, and because the family who runs it lives there too, the whole place has such a warm, family-like atmosphere.
