  My boyfriend and I took 4 days of private surf lessons with Aweng and Bayu at Ombak Surf School, and what an incredible experience! From the very first session, the communication with the school was seamless and professional. What really stood out was the patience and dedication of our instructors. They truly listened, observed, and adapted their teaching to each of our levels, I’m an intermediate surfer while my boyfriend is more experienced, giving us precise and constructive feedback on body position, paddling technique, and wave reading. By the end, we were confidently riding 2-meter waves, which felt absolutely amazing. That kind of progression doesn’t happen without great teachers by your side! If you’re looking to learn or improve your surfing in Lombok, don’t hesitate, Ombak is the place to go. A huge thank you to Aweng and Bayu for making this such a memorable part of our trip! 🤙🌊

  We highly recommend this place. It is run by two brothers who grew up in the house behind it. We did three surf sessions with Timon, including two sunrise sessions. He really knows what he’s doing, and as a beginner I felt very safe with him and his crew. After surfing we always ate at his warung — the food was super delicious and the prices were very fair. He also helped us organize a driver who took us to the airport (also at a fair price). A wonderful place with wonderful people — relaxed, friendly, and authentic.

  I love surfing with the guys from ombak, they are always in such a good mood, no drama in the line up and they always make sure the conditions fit your level and that you feel safe. They also helped me catch my own waves instead of solely pushing me into waves. They also help you organize surftrips to less crowded spots. Feels like family <3!

  It was so cool to surf with those guys. All the instructors have been surfing since they were children, so they really know what they are doing! I will definitely surf again with you guys. And they have a good warung, great place!
