  Great surfing school! I’m a beginner surfer and I was not so confident to do surfing until I took lessons with brothers surf school. MJ the instructor, is a great teacher, I felt safe and he was always watching me and advising how to improve. It was a great experience I highly recommend it, by far the best thing I’ve done here in Lombok. The beach he takes you to is beautiful and there are many surfers around too and stalls for food and drinks. The water is not too deep maybe 1.5m high water so it is fine for people who cannot swim properly also. I would recommend MJ and brothers surf scoop. 5 star.

  We had two lessons with Brothers surf school and we definitely don’t regret choosing them 😊 The first lesson was also our first time surfing on a reef. I had surfed in Bali before and had about five lessons, all on softboards, and we mentioned that we would like to try hardboards as well. MG was a really patient teacher and helped me get over my stress (since I’m pretty afraid of waves and water in general). I felt safe with him, as he was always watching over me when bigger waves were coming. For the first lesson, MG wanted to see how we performed on softboards, so he took us to Tanjung Aan Beach. The waves were pretty big for a beginner–intermediate level. We received helpful advice and recommendations on our style and stand-up technique. We survived the first session, and he told us that next time we could try the hardboards. During the second lesson, the conditions were completely different, the waves were smaller and less frequent.   Had a long stay here in Kuta Lombok predominantly to learn how to surf. I had never surf'd before in my life so I was a complete beginner. I'm so glad that I chose Brothers Surf for my lessons, I progressed from a complete beginner surfing small waves using soft boards to surfing larger waves using various hard boards. Not only was I happy with my progression but the hospitality I received was exceptional and homely and as a solo traveller I really appreciated this. Thanks MJ and team for the lessons and support. I'm hoping to return again soon to take it to the next level!

  We had a great time with Brothers Surf School. It was our first time surfing, and after a clear and helpful explanation on the beach, we went into the water. After a few tries and some support from the instructors, we were already able to stand on the board. We had a lot of fun during the two hours we surfed. There was also a photographer who took some really nice pictures of us. He asked a fee, but I think it was definitely worth it! P.S. The ocean is normally blue, but it was discolored due to heavy rain right before our surf session ;)
