    It was my first time surfing in Kuta Lombok and Double D Surf School was recommended to me. My surf instructor Ronnie was great: He explained all the basics to me, such as how to position myself on the board and how to pop up. The spots are chosen to suit every ability and you always get feedback on what you can improve. I can highly recommend this surf school :)

    If you're looking for a great surf school that not only teaches you the right skills but also helps you fall in love with surfing, then DoubleD Surfschool is the place to be! I was lucky enough to take surf lessons from the instructors before the school officially opened. I especially want to mention Rony. He is an amazing instructor who knows how to earn the trust and excitement of his students. With his fun yet focused style, he helped me get over my fear of the waves. He always supported me (even helped me paddle when I couldn’t anymore ;) ) and gave me great tips to improve. From the very beginning, I was impressed by how open and friendly the whole team was. The instructors are not only very skilled, but also kind and motivating. They help you a lot – from explaining the basics to showing you how to do it in the water.     Amazing surf school and such a fun experience with the whole DoubleD crew. We came as beginners, started on soft boards, and later progressed to hard boards, learning a lot along the way. Special thanks to Ahmed, who took us out several times and was patient, motivating, and great fun. Also thanks to Ven, who gave us excellent advice on how to choose and catch the waves. Great instructors, great atmosphere, and highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn surfing in Lombok.
