Thanks to him, I was able to stand up on the board during my very first lesson, which made the experience so much fun. Toba was also able to calm me down and motivate me at the moments when I felt scared and was ready to give up. I would definitely recommend choosing Toba as your surfing coach, whether you’re a beginner or a more advanced surfer. I already took my friend surfing together with the coach and she was satisfied as well.

  Best surf instructor I have had the pleasure to get out with in Indonesia as a beginner/intermediate. Toba has helped my surfing journey to progress a whole lot just with one lesson. Crazy attention to detail and great tips for small adjustments after each wave. Even after the lesson he made sure to give heaps of pointers to improve my pop up, paddling and overall form for navigating the waves. Uluwatu is well known for its difficult breaks but I felt completely at ease with Toba as my instructor. Would recommend a private with Toba to anyone in Uluwatu looking to progress their surf.
