  My stay at Snooze Hostel was one of the highlights of my time in Indonesia. From the moment I arrived, Becky and the entire team made me feel less like a guest and more like a friend welcomed into their home. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and social, making it easy to meet fellow travelers and share stories. The staff genuinely care about their guests and are always happy to help with recommendations, transportation, and planning adventures around Banyuwangi. The hostel itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of spaces to relax after a long day of exploring. What stood out most was the hospitality. Every conversation felt genuine, and the team’s kindness created an environment that was both relaxing and memorable.   I stayed in both the basic and deluxe double rooms at Snooze Ijen and had a lovely stay in both. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had ample space, even in the more basic set ups. The property itself is lovely with lots of shaded indoor and outdoor areas. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. My only wish is for a sink in the en suite of the deluxe double, however this seems to be common across Indonesia. The real highlight was the staff, who were genuinely all warm and welcoming at all times of the day. They all made an effort to introduce themselves and get to know each guest. They were very helpful with recommending restaurants, tours and sightseeing. We booked the Ijen sunrise tour through Snooze which was affordable and well planned. The guides on the trip were excellent.

  We arrived at Snooze late after a long and cramped train ride from Malang. Our check-in with the security guard was smooth and we were able to quickly fall asleep on the comfortable bed. I really appreciated the filtered water provided in the shared kitchen area. Anytime I can avoid buying plastic bottles of water is a plus! This was a perfect place to rest our heads before continuing our journey to Bali and it was well worth the price. Communication and reception is professional and timely.

  Amazing stay at Snooze Hostel Ijen! The hostel is clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, and their Mount Ijen excursions are a great option for anyone planning the ascent. A perfect place to stay before your adventure
