  We rented a Honda 125cc for 7 days for a price of 75k IDR per day. Rental was easy, we could try-ride the scooter before, as we wanted to make sure the motor had enough power to carry the 2 of us around the hills of Lombok during this time. No deposit needed, and possibility (for an extra 100k - so more than an extra day worth) to return the bike at the airport, which saved us a ride with Grab. The helmets were in quite bad condition but the scooter was alright.

  I lucky met Bin in the street and ended up renting a scooter for 13 days from him. At one stage I lost the key (I found it in the end). When I spoke to him about it he was so helpful and looked for the cheapest way to help. He didn’t take it as an opportunity to overcharge a tourist. This alone speaks volumes. He is a genuinely nice guy and I was very happy to give him my business. He rents all the different scooters depending on your needs and budget. He also arranged our ride to the airport at a better price than the hotel.
