    They want to hold your passport as a collateral which is illigal, and not the norm anywhere in the world. Other rentals in Labuan Bajo are do not have this ridiculous requirement, and cost the same. It is generally not legal or advisable for bike rental businesses to hold your passport as collateral. While some businesses may ask for it, your passport is a document of your home country's government and not something you should relinquish to a rental agency. Instead, you should offer a copy of your passport and a cash deposit, or find a more reputable rental service. Why it's not recommended to leave your passport: Legal Issue:Your passport is the property of your government, not yours to give as collateral. Scams: Some unscrupulous rental businesses may hold your passport hostage, claiming damage to the bike and demanding excessive payment to return it. Security Risks: Passports contain a wealth of personal information that could be misused if compromised.

    I rented a bike from them for 100 a day. I told them many times that I had to drop off the bike before 8am (when they open) because j have an early flight. The night before I messaged them on WhatsApp and they said they’d meet me for 730. I arrive and 730 and they don’t answer their phone. They’re holding my ID as a deposit which I require to board my flight. Don’t rent for them, this could have resulted in me missing my flight. Terrible customer services

    We rented 2 bikes for a trip to Maumere and back. On the day we arranged the rental, I expressed a little doubt about one of the tires on one of the bikes even though it clearly had a few hundred kilometers worth of life. When we picked up the bikes, there was a brand new tire. We had the bikes for 16 days and they were in great shape. We had no problems at all. I would rent from here again
