  Probably a good rental but not yet adopted to foreign tourists. They wanted to keep my passport while renting which is obviously a deal breaker for any experienced traveler. This is how most famous scams started in south east Asia. Once you give away your passport you loose any fair negotiating power in case of an accident, any real or presumed damage. I think a few million rupiah as a deposit would be more reasonable. Hopefully it will be realized and added into negotiation possibilities in time.

  Wanted to rent a motorbike but decided against that because instead of keeping a deposit like other shops do they take your passport. No that's not good enough!
