  Security and U.S. Passport Services personnel are very polite, informative, organized, and efficient. Picked up my renewed U.S. passport yesterday after dropping off application just a week before! That's pretty quick for choosing the normal processing time to complete it. You can complete application and book an appointment online for dropoff of said application. Be ready to pay cash (rupiah) when submitting application. I believe they also accept payment thru credit/debit card as well (check website). Be sure to bring a printed copy of your completed application and I also recommend bringing a printed copy sent to you via email confirming your appointment. I didn't feel comfortable doing this process via mail/courier as that would involve sending my soon to be expired passport as well and possibly being lost along the way. Not happening. Passport photo service is also available there for 60k rupiah and produced instantly. Quality of photo is okay. Given the chance again, I'd pro

  Great experience for US passport renewal. Lots of appointments available. Unlike some US embassies however they make you store your phone at security (free). Much less crowded than other ACS sections I've visited. No play area for children. Staff were generally efficient and competent. There's a photo booth inside (60k for 2 photos) and an ATM. Bonus: there's a little museum at the exit about the role of the US in Indonesian independence negotiations!
