I recently stayed at ARTOTEL Sanur Bali, and overall the experience was mixed and did not match the “excellent” rating shown on booking platforms. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and highly present throughout the property. The rooftop pool is one of the best features — spacious, well designed, and ideal for a relaxed swim.Breakfast is decent, with a reasonable mix of sweet and savoury options, although the variety becomes repetitive after several days. However, several aspects suggest a lack of long-term maintenance and attention to detail. Some room fixtures felt worn, including minor but noticeable issues such as a toilet flush button that would occasionally get stuck. Around the property, there are visible signs of structural aging, particularly rusted metal railings and deteriorating exterior elements, which give the impression of low-quality materials combined with insufficient upkeep. At the same time, there seems to be a strong focus on visible cleanli

I stayed at Artotel Sanur for a short visit but it was an excellent stay from start to finish! It’s so centrally located as it’s not far from the airport, it’s close to the beach and within walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, spas etc. The room was very clean and new-ish and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided and the restaurant downstairs was where they served it. There was an excellent spread of food both local and international, the staff were so attentive and helpful serving drinks and all. There’s a pool and rooftop bar with an amazing view of Sanur and also a spa upstairs. Highly recommended and will be back again!

The Artotel is great, I'm having a great stay. The staff are lovely and always willing to help with a friendly smile and a chat.... The menu at thier restaurant is delicious. Location wise it's on the southside of Sanur but not far away from everything, a quick walk to restaurants and massages, and a 10min walk to the the centre of Senur.... Noise in the restaurant is an issue raised in other reviews, yes the atrium does funnel noise up to the rooms, but to be fair the staff give advance notice of any function or large event that will be loud. I did not have any issues with noise.... The art is great local talent and makes the hotel what it is

I stayed for two nights starting March 8, 2026. The location is convenient, with local warungs, convenience stores, Korean restaurant, Japanese warungs and restaurants, hamburger restaurant, and a famous Italian restaurant all nearby, as well as reliable money changer and laundry shops. The rooms are spacious enough, and the restroom is with a bidet seat—a must-have for Japanese guests (though it’s a manual and basic model, it works well)—and the rooftop pool is also quite large. The only downside is the significant gap in the individual skills of the front desk staff; the level of service varies drastically depending on who you speak to. I have already reported these specific topics to the hotel’s attention. I strongly hope that the hotel will become an even more comfortable and excellent place to stay. Thank you all for my comfortable days in Sanur.
