  This place has memories of the past. If you throw the wedds party related with javanese culture might this one could be your alternative. The historical picture hanging in the wall and old stuffs in show case that could be as value added. Some of facilities that need to be updated and groomed.

  Great decorations. Have sweet dance floor open in the middle. Very Javanese. Very homey. Service is exceptional. Have spacious rooms too for family and friends. Recommended for weddings, one stop accommodation.

  A nice place to spend a week in Solo if you like to experience local things. This is an old estate own by a family ‘ndalem’ means ‘residence of’ - the Tjokrosukarnan family. The house was build to accommodate a big family with everyone had their own rooms which now use as guests rooms. Big rooms with bath. The Tjokrosukarnan was a batik producer, you can ask the owner to see the workshop, it’s at the backend where you park your car if you drive to Solo. These days they don’t make traditional batik anymore, only colorful painted beach sarongs for Bali’s market. But you can still see some artefacts of the former Solo’s batik industries. Wake up early and go out, just across the street there is Kadipolo market, if you like culinary adventure you can try some local delicacies and fresh milk. And coffee.
