Date markers

Every content page on this site shows a reviewed date. If you’re reading a page that’s been reviewed more than 12 months ago and contains time-sensitive information (visa, levy, cost), we recommend verifying directly with the official Indonesian source we cite. See sources & verification.

How we handle corrections

When a reader emails a correction, we follow this process:

  1. Verify the claim against the official Indonesian source
  2. If verified, update the page within 7 days for time-sensitive content; 30 days for evergreen
  3. Update the page’s reviewed date
  4. Acknowledge the corrector by email (we don’t publish their names without permission)
  5. For materially significant changes, note the correction in a brief footer line

What we don’t change

We won’t update pages to:

Major updates and rewrites

For substantial rewrites of entire sections (visa hub, expat hub, safety hub), we use a versioned approach. The previous version’s key facts are preserved if useful for historical comparison; otherwise the new version replaces it. Internal links are updated throughout the site as part of each major rewrite.
