Indonesia dive sites

Indonesia sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle — the highest marine biodiversity on Earth. Bali is the accessible training gateway. Komodo delivers big-animal drift diving with iconic dragons on the surface. Raja Ampat is the biodiversity peak most divers save for years to reach. Bunaken + Lembeh in North Sulawesi round out the world-class list.

Before you dive Indonesia

  • DAN dive insurance is essential — normal travel insurance excludes below 18m or without cert.
  • Flying-after-diving: minimum 18h after a single dive, 24h+ after repetitive or deep dives.
  • Verify your operator’s PADI 5-Star or SSI Diamond status. Cheap beachfront shops sometimes aren’t certified.
  • Marine park fees apply in Komodo, Raja Ampat, and Bunaken — build into budget.
