Indonesian volcanoes

Indonesia sits on the Ring of Fire — 130+ active volcanoes. Eight anchor the tourist circuit: Bromo, Ijen, Agung, Batur, Rinjani, Merapi, Semeru, Kerinci. Difficulty ranges from a 4WD-to-viewpoint sunrise trip to a 3-day high-altitude summit push.
