We enjoyed our stay at Alam Candi Hotel, the location was fantastic (beachfront) but be aware that due to foreshore works creating a promenade there is machinery between the hotel and the beach. We were lucky because they were not working during our stay so it was peaceful and quiet. This is not the hotel's fault, of course, but something you need to be aware of. Our breakfasts were tasty and sitting and eating while watching the local fishermen coming in for the day was very relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean but the bathroom/toilet were outside in a semi-detached (but still under cover) area. I didn't mind this though, it felt kind of "different". In the bathroom I also saw the biggest gecko I have ever seen in my life. He was cute but didn't hang around long enough for me to get a photograph. Alam Candi is good value for money.

The resort staff were very helpful without being pushy trying to sell you something. The facilities were beautiful and the hotel restaurant was right on the ocean. Loved the outdoor bathroom and the general style of the rooms. The location to get anywhere from the resort is difficult, you need a car or a driver to take you anywhere.

Amed, amazing 180 degree ocean views from one of their only ocean view villas high up. Great infinity pool and convenience store within 50 metres. Restaurants, shops and pubs are within 5 minutes ride. King bed a bit on the hard side, room a bit dated, clean otherwise. The room had glass doors and ocean view from the bed. Balcony had the most incredible views. Snorkelling straight off the beach 30 metres to the reef and many fish and turtles. A long way from the tourist hotspots but very relaxing friendly village and worth the travel. Around 70 Aud per night.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, attention to detail is second to none.. The staff are 5* plus, and food just delicious, rooms so comfortable and adorable - didn't want to leave, a lovely stay! Only disappointing thing, was zero beach access due to boardwalk construction until end of 2027 - sadly, it's not the hotels fault, but there is no sea access at all - you need to drive 20 mins to Virgin beach. It is so hard on the hotels, however Alam Candi Seaview, literally on the ocean - is magnificent. A fabulous hotel, one of the best in Candidasa!
