  We stayed 9 nights at Bali Secret Retreat Candidasa in the Amethyst Villa and honestly, everything was amazing. The villa was beautiful — you could tell so much love had gone into decorating it, with thoughtful details everywhere you looked. The pool area was lovely and very private, and the air-conditioning was icy cold, which was perfect after being out in the Bali humidity all day. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the pillows were so good that my husband made me throw out all the pillows at home when we got back because they just didn’t compare! All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great stay. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner, who was happy to chat with us about the local area and culture and gave us some fantastic tips on where to eat.   We spent 4 nights in the one bedroom villa and it was just perfect. We’ve been to Bali several times, but this was our first visit to Candidasa and we hit the jackpot. The villa is beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. You only hear the sound of the waves - which we loved. |This is probably the best villa stay we’ve found. |The staff team were friendly, helpful and responsive. They provided some lovely extra special touches on our arrival- a beautiful fruit platter, chocolates, fresh flowers and because it was our anniversary- gorgeously finished swan towels. |The plunge pool on the terrace is amazing. The bed is comfortable, the villa is clean and well equipped with everything you could need. |We had massage s in the villa which were great. |The location is quiet but really central and an easy walk to restaurants etc. |The owner Misha was great with communication, very thoughtful and proactive in checking everything was ok.   Beautiful little villa on the ocean. Infinity pool looking out to the water with a privacy screen. Ocean waves can be heard with the windows open. The villa is spacious, clean and airy. AC is wonderful on the hot days in both bedrooms and ground floor. Open air bathrooms and one of the best showers I've had in Bali. Located next door to Lotus restaurant (must try). 10/10 thank you Misha
