This was our 3rd visit to the Nirwana and by far the best holiday we ever had in Asia! The staff is sooo extremely friendly and forthcoming, the setting close to the sea with the sound of the waves, the room perfectly clean and very well prepared by house-keeping every single day, the pool, the organization of transportation (the resort is somewhat off-side and other restaurants are not in ‘walking distance) and let us not forget the resort’ restaurant “By the sea” with (again) incredible staff and great food (hardly any reason to go to ‘outside restaurants) have never experienced something better: it is HOSPITALITY written in capitals where we feel almost like being home. We are already planning to get back next year for another great experience.

As we sit here cooling down before we go home. I reflect on our time at the hotel. We are not adventure seekers, rather the cultural explorers. This resort is the perfect spot for a quiet break away. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. Honourable mentions for the staff go to Ayu, Dewa Ayu, Sumi, Putu and the 2 ladies in the spa. Our last full day was spent wholly at the resort and the spa treatments was the perfect wind down before we go back home to South Africa. We liked the excursions that the hotel offers and the close proximity to Candidasa town- 3 mins by car or if you can muster up the courage a 30 minute walk (we only did this once, and it was such a great immersive experience). The resort is tucked away from the tourist hustle and bustle in the main parts of the island which was the big selling point for us when booking. Even though they are busy with construction at the moment (rejuvenation of the beach) it didn’t bother us much. Our favourite part of the resort

Aircon during the afternoon is absolutely terrible. It was impossible for me to get ready for a wedding as I just kept sweating. I wish the room would have a sheer curtain as well, instead of just one black out curtain. I can’t keep them open as you won’t get any privacy. There are works going on around the hotel, but at night it’s quiet. Breakfast was lovely

Beach facing resort. Very friendly staff, nice pool Facing the ocean, at sunrise you can see the sunrise over the ocean. Very peaceful location. Staff had some English barriers but were very responsive. The pool villas might share a roof we could very clearly hear our neighbours. The bathroom swing doors kept opening making it hard to use the restroom at times The gym is a glass box in full display, it’s very basic. There is beautiful scenery around the resort You will want a scooter if you want to do anything outside the resort or it’s a 30+ minute walk to the main town. *during our visit their was a lot of construction taking place behind our room directly we could hear workmen all day and late into the night, and beachside construction for a massive redevelopment project for a beachside boardwalk.
