We had a short stay of 2 days at this hotel and have a mixed review. We were able to check in early and it was super efficient. Unfortunately our room was in a block that was in need of renovation with stained, cracked and patched up tiles, worn furniture and was very dark as it had no patio doors, the shower room was extremely small and needed an update ( most of the others blocks seem to have been already been upgraded). The balcony faced a brick wall with no view and in the evening the side wall hid the air conditioning units from the next door restaurant kitchens ; which then proceeded to belch out warm fatty smelling air over our balcony. The room then became very hot and our ancient air conditioning unit struggled to cope. The hotel did offer to move us but as we were leaving in the middle of the 2nd night it didn’t seem worth the hassle. They really need not to use this block especially as it was apparent the hotel was not full. There are upgrading works being undertaken at th

Griya Santrian was recommended by our friends and it did sound like it would be a good fit for us. We were not disappointed!|First of all the gardens! LOVE THEM!|The attention to detail and care given by ground staff every single day, magnificent work....|Our room was on the first floor with a spacious balcony. Very large walk in shower, with retractable clothes line. The room itself, looked very fresh and well maintained. Housekeeing staff were very efficient, thorough and prompt.|There are several pools at the hotel, including one on the beachfront, with a swim up bar. Starfish Cafe on the Sanur boardwalk offered light meals and refreshments. A great place to sit and enjoy the Sanur atmosphere. |Although the usual breakfast restaurant was being renovated, our breakfast dining was more than adequate. A great variety of food and situated in and around the Art Gallery.|Already looking forward to a return visit next year!

This hotel has all the criteria that I needed : spacious room, big bathroom, quiet, easy access to shops and restaurants. And the cleanliness is amazing. Even the stairs and coridor are spotless clean. Breakfast might need more choices but I'm fine with what they served during my stay. Sanur is my best place to go whenever I visit Bali and I will definitely come back to Griya Santrian next time.

We had the best stay at Griya Santrian in Feb 2026. Our family ranged from 9 years old to 76 years old and everyone was beyond satisfied. Don't be put off by reviews of construction in and out of the resort. We were hardly aware of any renovations in the resort and the sidewalks along the front of the hotel are completely finished and very walkable. If you're looking for a traditional Balinese-style hotel with gorgeous gardens and lovely staff, easy beach access and great location in Sanur, Griya Santrian is an excellent choice.
