What to say about Cove Eco Resort? From the moment you arrive and are greeted on the jetty by all the staff you know you're somewhere special. The rooms are lovely, tastefully decorated and the food is great, plentiful, with a good selection, not buffet because of the wastage, which as a retired caterer I am well aware of, and the location is of course out of this world. What really sets Cove apart is the staff, they remember every guests name and call out a greeting whenever you walk by. I arrived at Cove with a vital part of my underwater camera missing. We should the manager the problem and he suggested double sided tape. The next day he had had some bought for me, no mean feat given how remote the area is. From that day on my camera worked perfectly. So thank you to everyone at Cove for a wonderful experience. The diving and snorkeling are of course great!

This is it. You have found THE place. The amazing little place that feels so special. Took a bus, 5 flights, 3 boats and numerous taxis to get here - but it was worth every minute of it. There is truly something magical about witnessing the beauty of Raja Ampat, and feeling like you are mostly alone in paradise. The rooms are beautiful, the staff amazing, the food delicious. Everyone has made our stay very enjoyable - but a very special heartfelt thank you to Nipen, Jon and Refun who have been an amazing dive team. They were kind, helpfull, fun and just made each of our dives (18!) so easy. For divers: having stayed at two additionnal ressorts towards the eastern side of Raja Ampat, all the dive sites they bring you too are more splendides - it is truly worth it. My only regret is not staying longer. Cove has a piece of my heart forever.

Where to begin... First of all Raja Ampat is a magical area. But getting there takes a long time and much effort. For us, we first stayed at a Home Stay - which was decent but only had power for ~ 6 hours a day. This made it difficult to be comfortable as we come from a temperate part of the planet. But then we moved on to Cove Eco Resort. What a world of difference. I know some people think the word 'Eco' should mean not using electricity, etc. I'm sorry but when it is ~ 90 degrees F and probably 90% humidity some of us need fans and/or AC to be 'comfortable. At home we do make an effort to reduce our carbon emissions, but while on vacation we prefer to not have to be sweaty messes for most of the day and night. Cove was wonderful in all regards. The accommodations were excellent. The available 24 hour electricity (and AC) were life savers. The food was great but mostly the service and support were superb. We cannot stress enough how pampered we felt and how wonderful the staff were.

An absolute gem in the middle of Raja Ampet. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The morning snorkelling was to different places each day and travelling quite widely. The waters are so calm it's mostly like snorkelling in a millpond full of coral and reef fish. Afternoon snorkelling also was available but 2 hours in separate one hour lots separated by morning tea on places spread around the area was more than enough for us. Highly recommended
