Sorido Bay Resort is truly one of my favourite places in the world. This was our second visit (in January), and just like the first time, it was an absolutely magical experience. The diving is simply incredible — from vibrant reefs to insane manta dives (Blue Magic anyone?) to unforgettable black water dives (a must-try!). Beyond the underwater magic, what makes this place so special is the heart behind it. The team’s commitment to employing Papuans, supporting local communities, and conservation efforts makes every stay feel meaningful. The founder actually discovered the key dive sites, and the team continues to work really hard to try to protect the sites and preserve the reefs. Despite how remote it is, everything runs seamlessly. The rooms are always spotless, the food is consistently delicious, and the overall vibe is relaxed, welcoming, and joyful. Bonus points to everyone who made me feel extra special on my birthday — it meant so much! <3 Do as many excursions as you can (f

After diving all over the world, spending a week at Sorido Bay Resort was something truly special.|The place itself is beautiful — crystal clear water, healthy reefs full of life, peaceful overwater bungalows, and sunsets that make you stop and just enjoy the moment. We spent the week using the kayaks around the bay, relaxing between dives, and enjoying the incredible atmosphere of Raja Ampat. One of the highlights was even seeing a blue whale ,and a night dive trip, something I will never forget.|A huge thank you to Alan, the owner, for creating such a warm and authentic place for divers. You can feel the passion for the ocean everywhere in the resort.|Special mention to James, the captain — absolutely excellent. Professional, safe, not always smiling, but a real seaman ,and simply a great person to spend time with during the trips. Having a captain like him makes a big difference on a dive holiday.|And also thank you to Dolphinus, our local dive guide, who was fantastic all week. Gre

Wow! What an experience. We stayed for 7 days and absolutely loved it. We were first greeted by Oscar and he showed us to our room and explained everything to us. The next few days we were snorkeling among amazing corals and fish. We did 2 snorkels in the morning then had the afternoon off but you can go again after lunch if you wish. We snorkelled the house reef a few times and that was just as beautiful as going out on the boats. You do have to swim a bit further out and be aware of the current. Rudi was our guide and he would always let us know what was going on and was great to have a laugh with.
