  Out of all our homestays in Raja Ampat, this was the most welcoming. Christine and Abraham are so lovely and kind, even calling us when the kuskus came down in the evening or dugongs passed by the homestay. The food here was also amazing and had the best variety we have had since going to RA. There was even a very generous breakfast with lots of fruit and sweet and savoury options. There is also an incredible sunset from here. We took the tour to go and see the Wilson’s bird of paradise which was amazing! We had a really long encounter and our lovely guide took his time and was happy to be there. The room itself was basic but had raised beds and a good mosquito net which was all we really needed. The beach was nice for swimming. We did some snorkelling too but it wasn’t the best. We also took a transfer from here to Waisai in the car and Christine helped to book our tickets for the ferry!

  Simple homestay, we had one of the two cottages facing the sea; nothing beats falling asleap to the sound of the waves. Western communal toilet, simple shower with water most of the time, quite clean. One of the daughters speaks English. Nice communal area overlooking the sea. This is where the meals are served. Free supply of drinking water, tea, coffee. The food is good, and in-between-meals you can usually get bananas, mandarin oranges. You can do you own laundry, or have it done by the homestay. Do not forget your snorkeling equipment, highly recommended.

  I stayed there for about a week before returning to Europe on-the-brink of lockdown during covid, in April 2021. I love this homestay and the family running it. They were so kind and natural. They helped me a lot, I remember, while visiting around. Now I was just looking over the area and found them on map and realized that I never left a review. The facilities as I remember them were great. Good bungalows on the beach, good shower area, very nice common area to spend time and eat. And very good food they cooked and served! I hope they are doing well! Its worth staying with them if they still accomodate tourists.

  I love this homestay. The family is so sweet and gentle. The bungalows are spacious with comfy bed. It's always peaceful with the gentle sound of the waves at your doorstep. The food is spectacular, easily the best in Raja with fresh fruit and veg every meal, as well as fish, tempeh, tofu, so much choice and quantity it's impossible to eat it all and delicious delicate flavours. Dolphins swim past every day and you can even see them in the water. The housereef is really nice, especially by the village. The village itself is my favourite in Raja.. super friendly locals and lovely jungle setting. Just walking 5mins up the road you see so many parrots of all different kinds, white and black cockatoo, hornbills and many birds I don't know the names of. Christine speaks great English but anyway was really patient letting me practice Indonesian. The perfect place to stay near Waisai.
